On November 24, 1982, hundreds of women marched from Abdel Nasser Mosque in Corniche El Mazraa toward the headquarters of the Council of Ministers,

which was then located in the Sanayeh area of Beirut. This pivotal moment came after Wadad Halwani issued a call on the radio station “Sawt Lobnan Al-Arabi”

Fifty years after the war in Lebanon, memory continues to raise its questions.
This book brings together reflections from individuals working in different fields,
writing about the war as they see it today—its meaning, its shadows, and what we can learn from it.
It is an invitation to remember, not as a return to pain, but as a step towards reconciliation,
towards a deeper understanding of the past, and towards building a future in which there is no place
for the repetition of violence and disappearance.
